A large-scale fNIRS sensorimotor benchmark

Functional near-infrared spectroscopy from 109 participants performing right-hand hand clenching and finger tapping. Twenty trials, thirteen channels, three hundred and six samples — preview the preprocessed data in your browser before downloading the raw release.

Paradigm

Block design. Visually cued right-hand clenching (cond 1) and finger tapping (cond 2). 10 s task / ~20 s rest, ten trials per condition, 30-second epoch from −5 → +25 s around stim onset.

Signal

HbO / HbR concentrations across 13 channels over the left-hemispheric motor cortex, sampled at 10.173 Hz. Motion-corrected, band-pass filtered, and z-scored per channel; displayed with pre-stim baseline correction.

Format

Public release: raw BIDS / SNIRF, one folder per participant, with _events.tsv, _optodes.tsv, and BIDS sidecars. This dashboard shows preprocessed example tensors derived via the published pipeline.

What to look for

A canonical hemodynamic response: HbO rises, HbR falls. Effect is strongest on motor-cortex channels 02, 04, 08, 09, weaker elsewhere.
